The Trinity women's volleyball team competed in a CCAC match today against the Roosevelt University Lakers.
Although the Lakers put up a fight throughout the beginning of each set, it wasn't enough to keep the Trolls from winning. Trinity won the sets 25-18, 25-17 and 25-14 to secure a sweep in tonight's match.
Four Trolls registered a hitting percentage over .400 today, and that was senior Ana Lambros, junior Anna Maatman, junior Britta Heggeland and sophomore Sarah Kiwan. Senior Dani Van Laten was able to grab 35 assists and nine digs, while junior Brianna Figueroa recorded 14 digs, five assists and an ace.
With this 3-0 win, Trinity clinched their spot as the No. 1 seed heading into the CCAC post-season tournament.
Trinity will be back in action on Thursday, Nov. 7 for their final regular season CCAC match of the season as they host Cardinal Stritch on Senior Night. The game begins at 7 p.m.
