The Trinity women's volleyball team was back at home today after going 3-0 on the road in Florida. The Trolls took on the Trinity International Trojans, who is the only CCAC opponent they lost to this season. This time around, the Trolls changed the narrative, winning in three sets.
The Trojans did not come close to Trinity in any of the three sets. Trinity International was able to keep up early in the set, but thanks to long service runs by various Trinity Christian players, the Trolls were able to keep the Trojans under 14 points per set, winning 25-13, 25-14 and 25-13.
Tonight, senior Ana Lambros recorded a double-double with 16 kills and 11 digs. Fellow senior Dani Van Laten was the only other Troll with a double-double on the night, recording 35 assists and 12 digs.
Junior Britta Heggeland contributed to the Trolls' offense, hitting .467 (7 kills, 0 errors, 15 attempts) on the night while also getting two blocks. Junior Brianna Figueroa led the team's defense with 18 digs.
The Trolls will continue with conference action on Thursday, Oct. 31 as they head to the Olivet Nazarene Tigers. The game will begin at 7 p.m.
