Five Trolls score in win over Crimson Wave

The Trinity women's soccer team was at home today after securing their ninth win of the season at St. Ambrose on Wednesday. Today, the Trolls played the Calumet College of St. Joseph Crimson Wave, in which they secured another win, keeping them undefeated on the season.

In the first half, the Trolls were able to catch a lead early. Junior Paige Rogers scored the first goal during the seventh minute of the game, giving them a 1-0 lead. It wasn't until later in the first half that the Trolls would score again, this time off a shot from junior Jadyn Wilson with the help from sophomores Brianna Uhl and Sara Shea in the 30th minute.

Just three short minutes later, freshman Nineveh Eshw also scored a goal with an assist from Shea. This led to a 3-0 lead for Trinity heading into the half.

But once the second half began, the Trolls did not let up. They managed to score two more goals, one from sophomore Selah Hopkins in the 56th minute and another from Uhl in the 61st minute. In the end, the Trolls beat the Crimson Wave 5-0.

This match now makes the Trolls 5-0 in conference play and 10-0 overall.

Trinity will be back in action again this Tuesday, Oct. 8, as they head to Trinity International for another tough, road contest.
