The Trinity women's soccer team hit the road and headed to Kentucky to face Asbury University. And after today's match, they secured their second win of the season, beating the Eagles 1-0.
In the first half of the game, neither team was able to score. Trinity put up 11 shots during the first half compared to the Asbury's one. But once the second half came around, the Trolls were able to find the back of the net.
Senior Lexxy Trujillo scored the lone goal of the match during the 55th minute, securing the win for Trinity.
Along with scoring a goal, the Trolls tried to create other offensive opportunities. Three players put up three shots, including senior Taylor Miller, sophomore Selah Hopkins and sophomore Brianna Uhl, who also put a shot on goal.
But it didn't just come down to the offense for winning this game. Junior Ally Kranstz recorded her second shutout of the season, making three saves on the day.
The Trolls will be back in action again on Monday as they continue to make their way through Kentucky. They will play Georgetown beginning at 12 p.m. ET.
