Women's team competes in CCAC Cup

The Trinity women's golf team hit the green again on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 to compete in the CCAC Cup, which is one of their final tournaments on the fall semester. The Trolls were able to finish sixth of six teams, competing against other teams in the CCAC.

Leading the way for the Trolls was sophomore Ellie BanksOver the course of the two days, Banks shot a 96 and 87, which was good enough to finish tied in 15th overall.

The next two contenders for Trinity were senior Merina Miner and freshman Ashley Keen. Miner shot a 192 over the two days while Keen shot a 196 overall.

Junior Ashley Martinez rounded out the top four for the Trolls, recording a score of 198 for the two days. Senior Indira Escalante also competed in the tournament for the Trinity, registering a 268.

The women's team will be back in action again on Oct. 8 at the Troll Classic taking place at their home course at Calumet Country Club.
