Women's golf finishes third of four at Benedictine Invitational

The Trinity women's golf team competed in their second tournament of the fall season at the Benedictine University Invitational on Sept. 13.

Following the one-day tournament, the team finished in third out of the four teams battling it out on the green.

Leading the way for the Trolls was sophomore Ellie Banks, who shot 89 for the round, which was good enough to finish in sixth. Right behind her is senior Merina Miner, who shot 96 in the day.

Rounding out the lineup for the Trolls was freshman Ashley Keen and senior Indira Escalante, with the two shooting 105 and 139, respectively.

The women's team will be back in action along with the men's team on Monday, Sept. 16 at the Judson University Invitational beginning at 10:30 a.m.
