The Trinity men's soccer team played in their last game of the season today as they traveled to the Olivet Nazarene Tigers. The Trolls put up a fight during most of the match, but it was the Tigers who secured the 2-3 win.
Most of the goals from today's match were scored in the first half. The first two goals were both scored by Tigers in the seventh and eighth minutes, giving them an early 2-0 lead. But the Trolls fought and got back-to-back goals from junior Wesley Trueblood in the 37th minute and junior Marcos Shimizu in the 38th minute, making the score 2-2.
As the game progressed into the second half, no teams were able to gain the lead until the 59th minute when the Tigers grabbed another goal. From there, they were able to keep the lead, resulting in a 2-3 loss for Trinity.
Along with those goals, junior Mathis Muller made seven saves on the day as the Tigers put the pressure on with 22 shots.
Today's match concludes the men's soccer season. The team secured an overall record of 6-12 on the season.
