Tigers take down the Trolls 6-0 in Kentucky

During the last match of their road trip to Kentucky, the Trinity men's soccer team fought hard in the first 20 minutes to keep Georgetown College from scoring. But in the end, it wasn't enough as the Trolls lost to the Tigers 6-0.

Trinity is the first team to play Georgetown this season that didn't allow them to score in the first 10 minutes of the match. But in the 22nd minute, that all changed. Logan Sparks scored the first goal for the Tigers and then it didn't get much better for the Trolls.

After that first goal, the Tigers ended up getting five more, two of which were in the first half along with three more in the second half.

Although the defense struggled for Trinity, the offense tried to make opportunities to score. Both Justin Taylor and Manasse Mbuyi put up five shots, with two being on goal.

Along with Taylor and Mbuyi, Marcos Shimizu was able to put up two shots and Emmanuel Iradukunda managed to get one.

Trinity will be back in action again on Friday, Sept. 6 at 4 p.m. at Schaaf Fields as they take on University of St. Francis (Ind.).
