Trolls fought on green, finished in 10th

The Trinity men's and women's golf teams competed in the Judson University Invitational yesterday, Sept. 16, at the Randall Oaks Golf Club.

Although the women did not register a team score, the men finished in 10th out of 10 teams.

Leading the way for the men was junior Joey Davidson. This was his first tournament of the 2019 season, he shot an 83 for the round. Following close behind him was freshman Spencer Rice, who shot an 86.

The other two Trinity golfers that rounded out scoring for the Trolls were sophomore Mark Schaaf and junior Zach Huisman, who shot 90 and 93, respectively.

On the women's side, sophomore Ellie Banks, senior Merina Miner and freshman Ashley Keen competed on the green yesterday. Banks shot 89 to finish in fifth out of 29. Keen shot 91 to finish a spot behind Banks and Miner shot 97 to finish in 12th.

Both the men's and women's teams will be back in action again on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 20 and 21, at the NCCAA Regional Invite.
