Caleb is a second-year runner ….. is a middle distance runner …..
2018: ran the mile, 800 meter and 1,000 meter and 4 x 400m and distance medley relays in the indoor season ….. did not compete in the outdoor season due to injury ….. qualified for and took 13th place in the mile at the NAIA National Indoor Championships ….. set the school indoor record for the indoor 1,000 meter at 2:32.39 ….. placed fourth in the 1,000 meter and fifth in the mile at the CCAC Indoor Championships ….. was a member of the fifth place 4 x 400m relay team at the indoor conference meet ….. ranks first in the 1,000 meter, second in the mile, fourth in the 800 meter, and eighth in the 4 x 400m relay in Trinity’s indoor records book
High School: ran track for five years in high school ….. is a five-time state medalist ….. set his high school records in the 800, 1600, 3200, and 4 x 800 meter relay ….. earned all-state honors three times …. was state champion in the 800 meter, 1600 meter, 4 x 800 meter relay, and medley relay in his senior year ….. was state champion in the 800 meter and medley relay in 2016

Personal:  nursing major ….. parents are Mike and Kristin DeWeerd ….. has two sisters (Megan, a member of the women’s cross country and track teams, and Mariah) ….. played basketball for two years and ran cross country for five years in high school ….. is a five-time state cross country medalist in high school ….. has worked at Camp Barnabas for individuals with special needs in the summer ….. has been on mission trips to Alaska and Belize ….. was named to the Athletics Department High Honor Roll ….. is a member of Trinity’s cross country team
