NCCAA National Soccer Championship Information

The seeding and bracket have been set for the 2012 NCCAA Division I Women’s Soccer Championship held at Austin-Tindall Soccer Complex in Kissimmee, Florida on November 28-December 1. The Trolls (13-9-2) are the No. 6 seed of the tournament and will face No. 3 Grace College in their opening game at 2:30 pm EST on November 28.

The eight tournament teams, which represent the seven region championships from across the country and one at-large bid, were seeded according to a rating system.  The tournament teams and rankings are No. 1 Judson University (IL), No. 2 California Baptist University, No. 3 Grace College (IN), No. 4 Houghton College (NY), No. 5 Southern Nazarene University (OK), No. 6 Trinity Christian College (IL), No. 7 Palm Beach Atlantic University (FL), and No. 8 Trevecca Nazarene University (TN).

The tournament schedule consists of contests on November 28, 29, and December 1.  With games to determine each final place, teams are guaranteed one game each of those days.  The championship game is set for 3 pm EST on Saturday, December 1.

Trinity earned their way to the national championship as the North Central Region Champions. In the region they defeated Trinity International University, 3-0, in a semifinal game, and defeated the top-seeded Judson University, 2-1, in the championship game.  It is the women’s soccer program’s fourth appearance in the NCCAA national tournament. In 2005 the Trolls won the championship title and finished in third place in 2007 and in 2009.
