Trolls Open the 2015-16 Season

The 2015-16 sports season opens this weekend as the soccer and volleyball teams are on the road for their first official competitions. The women’s and men’s soccer teams are travelling together to Iowa where they will take on Dordt College in Sioux Center on Friday, August 21. The women’s game is at 2 pm and the men’s game will follow at 4:15 pm.  You can follow the webcast of those games at this link. On Saturday, August 22, the teams will be at Waldorf College in Forest City for another double-header. The women kick off at noon and the men start at 2 pm.

The volleyball team will be competing in the Grace College Invitational in Winona Lake, Indiana.  On Friday the Trolls take on Point Park University at 5:30 pm EST and Grace at 8 pm EST. Saturday’s competition starts at 10:30 am EST against Indiana University-East and continues with a 4 pm EST match with Indiana University-Kokomo. In the final week of August the teams will host their home openers. The soccer games will be played at the Schaaf Athletics Complex and the volleyball team competes in the DeVos Gymnasium. All home contests will be webcasted with live video and stats and the webcast link is found on the Game Central icon on the athletics web page. The home opener schedule is:
-August 27, Thursday – Men’s Soccer hosts Huntington University at 4 pm
-August 28, Friday – Women’s Soccer hosts Marian University at 5 pm
-August 27-28, Friday and Saturday – Volleyball hosts the Saint Xavier/Trinity Crossover
    -Friday – Trinity vs Mount Mercy at 7 pm
    -Saturday – Trinity vs Concordia (MI) at 10:30 am and vs Concordia (NE) at 1 pm

Competition for the cross country teams begins on September 4 at the University of St. Francis Invitational. The men’s golf team has their first match on September 3-4 at the Olivet Nazarene University Invitational. The women’s golf team makes their program debut on September 11-12 in the Bethel College Invitational.
