Dick Molenhouse Inducted into NCCAA Hall of Fame

At its annual convention, the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) inducted Dick Molenhouse, a long-time friend and support of Trinity and the NCCAA, into the Hall of Fame. The induction presentation occurred at the Hall of Fame Banquet on May 30 in the presence of the convention attendees and other honored guests.

"The NCCAA's Hall of Fame recognizes those who have made a significant impact in the Kingdom of God via this association,” said Dan Wood, NCCAA Executive Director. “Some earned their spot by their physical efforts, some by their ability to coach and motivate young people, and some simply by giving of themselves so that others within the NCCAA could play, go, and serve. Based upon the last criteria, Dick Molenhouse can go to the top of the class.”

Dick’s partnership with the NCCAA began in 1991 with his participation in the NCCAA Pro-Am. Since that time he has made it his mission to secure commitments from his Trinity Christian College friends and from local businessmen to be a part of that event. To this day many Pro-Am returning and new guests have been a part of Dick’s invitation and influence.

Dick has served on the NCCAA Board of Directors since 2006 and has assisted the association in creating improved business and fiscal practices as a member of the Finance Committee. As a board member he has created many meaningful and sustainable relationships and has influenced those he has met with his fairness, kindness, and encouragement.

Dick and his wife Pixie are also major supporters of the NCCAA Prayer Network that blossomed out a call for prayer back in 2000 when the Molenhouses were notified that their then two-year grandson Logan had leukemia. Many NCCAA partners lifted Logan and the family in prayer throughout the years, and today he is a teenager who is free of cancer. Since that time the NCCAA Prayer Network has grown tremendously and many have received the blessings of Christian love and support through prayer.

The Molenhouses have been major supporters of the NCCAA for two decades. Through their gifts of time, talents, and treasures they have impacted over 40 mission trips and helped to insure the NCCAA’s future is firm. They have also blessed Trinity with the same support throughout the years.

Rick VanDyken, Executive Associate to the President for Development at Trinity and long-time friend of the Molenhouses, states Dick’s impact the best. “Dick is simply a Kingdom builder and he knows the importance of being a generous leader in the Christian community.”
