Kacie Stoll and Christa Veenstra Earn CCAC Weekly Honors

The Trolls had a big week with four victories, including two against NAIA Top 25 teams.  For the instrumental part they played in those wins, seniors Kacie Stoll (Lombard, Illinois) and Christa Veenstra (Tracy, Iowa) were named CCAC Volleyball Attacker and Defender of the Week respectively.  

It is the third week in a row that Stoll, a right side hitter, has received the conference Attacker of the Week honors. In the four matches of the week she averaged 4.08 kills per set with a .276 attacking percentage.  Her match high for the week came against Governors State with 18 kills and a .452 percentage. In addition Stoll’s contribution for the week included a six blocks, 22 digs, and a .980 serving percentage with four ace serves.

 
Veenstra, a middle hitter, garnered Defensive Player of the Week honors with her strong blocking presence at the net. She averaged 1.45 blocks for the week with 18 assisted and one solo block. She had no fewer than three blocks in each set and posted the week’s high of eight again No. 20 Bellevue. In addition Veenstra had 18 kills for the week.
