Kacie Stoll Continues to Lead CCAC

For the second week in a row and the fourth time this season Kacie Stoll (Lombard, Illinois) has been named the CCAC Volleyball Attacker of the Week. The latest honor came after a week in which the Trolls were 4-0 in conference play and grabbed the top spot in the CCAC rankings as the only undefeated team.  

Stoll, a senior right side hitter, was the team’s top attacker in each of the four matches of the week. She accumulated 51 kills in 12 sets for a 4.25 kill average. More impressively she committed only seven errors in 107 attempts and posted a .411 attacking percentage. In addition to her offensive play, she also registered 14 blocks for a 1.17 average and had a 2.42 dig average.

Stoll started the week with six kills and no errors in nine attempts in the one set she played in against Calumet College of St. Joseph (Whiting, Indiana). The Trolls won that match in three sets.

Three of the Trolls’ wins came in the CCAC Crossover Tournament. In a three set victory over Roosevelt University (Chicago, Illinois), Stoll led the team with 11 kills behind a .450 attacking percentage. She also had four blocks, five digs, and two aces. In a four set win over Trinity International University (Deerfield, Illinois), Stoll registered a double double of 18 kills and 16 digs. She also had her hand in five of the team’s 13 blocks.  The final match of the Crossover was a four set victory against Cardinal Stritch University (Milwaukee, Wisconsin).  Stoll gained 16 kills and had only one error in her 34 attempts. She also was involved in four blocks.  

For the season Stoll has a total of 818 kills with a 3.92 average and a .246 attacking percentage. She leads the CCAC in kill average and ranks 18th in the NAIA. Behind two of her teammates and tied with another, Stoll is third in the conference in blocks with a 0.87 average.

The Trolls are 15-6 overall and 8-0 in the CCAC. They are also receiving votes in the NAIA Coaches’ Poll.
