Kacie Stoll Earns Player of the Week Honors

In a week in which the team played five matches and faced national ranked opponents, senior right side hitter Kacie Stoll was named the NCCAA Div. I Volleyball Student-Athlete of the Week and the CCAC Attacker of the Week.  It is the third time this season Stoll has been earned this honor for the conference.

For the week, Stoll led the team at the net offensively and defensively. She had a total of 80 kills in 22 sets and averaged 3.64 kills per set while hitting at .236 percent. She also registered 20 blocks, three solo and 17 assisted, for a 0.91 block average.

In each of the five matches Stoll recorded a double-double in kills and digs. She started the week with 15 kills and 15 digs in a home four-set loss to Clarke University (Dubuque, Iowa).  In the Olivet Nazarene University Holiday Inn Express Invitational, Stoll got the team off to a positive start when she posted 13 kills and 10 digs in a four-set upset win over No. 18 Georgetown College (KY).  She had 18 kills and 22 digs in a five-set loss to Taylor University (IN). Against No. 3 Columbia College (MO), Stoll led the team with 14 kills and 12 digs in a four-set loss. She finished the tournament with 20 kills and 19 digs in a five-set win over Campbellsville University (KY), a team receiving votes in the NAIA poll.  Stoll was named to the Olivet Nazarene All-Tournament Team.

The team was 2-3 for the week and overall the Trolls are 11-6. Trinity is also receiving vote in the NAIA Coaches’ Poll.
