Trolls Keep Winning Streak Alive

The Trolls stay undefeated for the season as they shut-out Bethel College (Mishawaka, Indiana) in a non-conference game. Trinity scored two goals it the first period and added one more in the second period to hand the Pilots their first loss of the season. The 3-0 final was the Trolls’ fourth shut-out of the season. They improve to 6-0 overall.

Trinity did not waste any time on getting on the board as they struck in the opening three minutes of the game. In the opening goal Taylor Miller fed Jessica Bianchi with a short pass up the middle and Bianchi chipped it over the goalkeeper’s head into the empty net.

Before the half, Miller was involved in the scoring again. This time she received the pass and fired a shot from the top of the box that escaped the keeper’s reach. Brianna Uhl was credited with the assist.

Trinity made it a three goal game midway through the second period. Bianchi threaded a ball through the defense to the feet of Selah Hopkins who took a couple of dribbles and put it into the net in the 59th minute.

For the game the Trolls had a total of 15 shots of which 10 were on-goal. Bethel took nine shots and Allyson Kranstz stopped the two that were on-goal.

The team takes on another Crossroads League opponent on September 15 when they play at Huntington University at 1 pm ET.
