Another Win in Iowa Trip

The Trolls wrapped up their three-game trip in Iowa with a victory at Clarke University (Dubuque, Iowa). Playing their third game in four days, Trinity finished as strong as they started with a 5-2 final score against the Pride. The team went ahead 3-0 at the half and answered each of Clarke’s goals in the second period. The Trolls are 5-0 for the season.

It did not take long for the Trolls to get on the board as Jessica Bianchi scored in the opening three minutes of the game. The team went ahead 2-0 in the 19th minutes as Alexa Miller was credited with a goal. Before the half was over Trinity was on the scoreboard one more time when Brianna Uhl found the net.

Clarke prevented the shut-out and got into the scoring action in the 62nd minute when they scored a goal. The Trolls neutralized that goal 30 seconds later when Selah Hopkins finished a pass from Jessica Bianchi.

In the 77th minute the Pride made it a 4-2 game. However the Trolls were not finished scoring and in the 85th minute Bianchi struck again on an assist by Uhl.

Overall Trinity had 13 shots for the game and Clarke had 11. Allyson Kranstz was in the goal with six saves.

The team plays next on September 12 at Bethel College.
