CCAC Women’s Soccer Conference Tournament

The Trolls, along with seven other conference teams, advance to post-season play in the CCAC Women’s Soccer Tournament. The top eight teams in the final standings will begin play in the quarterfinal round on November 3. Trinity finished the regular season conference schedule in second place and will host No. 7 Roosevelt University at 1 pm at the Schaaf Athletics Complex.

Olivet Nazarene University (12-5-1, 10-1) finished in first place and is ranked No. 25 in the NAIA national rankings. Their only loss in the conference schedule was to the University of St. Francis. The Trolls (16-2, 9-2), who have won their last six games and are receiving votes in the national poll, are No. 2. In addition to losing to Olivet Nazarene they dropped a CCAC game to Cardinal Stritch University.  At No. 3 is St. Ambrose University (11-5-2, 8-3), and tied with them in the standings is No. 4 Cardinal Stritch (10-6-1, 8-3). St. Ambrose received the higher seed based on head-to-head results.

Rounding out the field is Trinity International University (12-5-1, 7-3-1) at No. 5, Robert Morris University Illinois (7-8-3, 6-3-2) at No. 6, Roosevelt University (7-9, 5-6) at No. 7, and St. Francis (8-8-2, 4-6-1) at No. 8.

The quarterfinal round games are on November 3 with the four quarterfinal winners advancing to the semifinal round on Tuesday, November 7. The semifinal winners will compete for the conference tournament title in the championship game on November 10. All games will be played at the school of the higher seed.  

The CCAC tournament champion will receive an automatic bid to the NAIA National Championship that begins with Opening Round games on November 18. Olivet Nazarene has already secured one of the conference’s automatic bids as the regular season champions.
