Jessica Bianchi Receives Weekly Honors

The women’s soccer team grabbed two more conference wins and junior forward Jessica Bianchi (Elmhurst, Illinois) earned both CCAC and NCCAA Offensive Player of the Week honors for her part in the victories.  In the two games during October 23-28, Bianchi scored a total of seven goals and had one assist.

The team opened the week with an 8-0 shut-out victory over Calumet College of St. Joseph (Whiting, Indiana). Bianchi had two goals,  scored in the opening 30 seconds of each half, and added one assist to her totals. In the 6-1 win over Saint Xavier University (Chicago, Illinois), Bianchi scored five goals and set a new school record for goals in a single game.  She recorded a hat trick in the opening eight minutes of the game.  In the second half her two goals were scored within a minute of each other.

Bianchi leads the team and the conference with 27 goals and 64 points. She also ranks fourth in the nation in game-winning goals, total points, and goals.
