Jessica Bianchi Named NCCAA Soccer Player of the Week

After a week in which Jessica Bianchi (Elmhurst, Illinois) scored four goals and helped the team to two wins, she was named the NCCAA Division I Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week.  The junior forward was responsible for four of the team’s seven goals of the week, including a hat trick against Roosevelt University (Chicago, Illinois).  All three of those goals were scored in a 15 minute span in the first half of a game that ended in a 5-0 win. Her other goal for the week was a first half game-tying goal in what ended to be a late game 3-2 loss to Olivet Nazarene University (Bourbonnais, Illinois).

For the week Bianchi had a total of eight shots of which six were on-goal.  She leads the team for the season with 18 goals and seven assists. She also has a total of 63 shots of which 40 are on-goal. Bianchi ranks first in the NCCAA in total goals and points and is second in total assists.
