Trolls Shut-out Lakers

The Trolls posted their fifth shut-out of the season as they denied Roosevelt University (Chicago, Illinois) in a conference game.  Trinity scored four goals in the first half to take control of the game. They added another goal early in the second period and cruised to the 5-0 win. The team is now 11-2 overall and 4-2 in the CCAC.

Trinity was quick to get on the board as they scored in the first three minutes. The opener came from the foot of Shaelyn Postmus off an assist by Jadyn Wilson.

The next three goals of the game came courtesy of Jessica Bianchi. She picked up the first on in the 26th minute, found her second one in the 36th minute, and made it a hat trick in the 40th minute. Her third goal was assisted by Drew McCarthy.

The team increased their 4-0 lead with another goal 11 minutes in to the second period. That shot was fired by Jessica Owen on a pass from Marissa Fields.  The Trolls continued to keep the Roosevelt goalkeeper busy in the rest of the half.

For the game the team had 28 shots and Roosevelt had five.  Sierra Christopher and Emily Ponstein shared the shut-out.

The team plays next on October 14 in a home contest with St. Ambrose University at noon.
