Trolls Add Another Win

The Trolls keep their record perfect as they pick up another win. The latest victory came at Indiana Tech (Fort Wayne, Indiana) with a 4-1 final. The Warriors scored first, but Trinity answered to make it 1-1 at the half. The Trolls went on to add three more goals in the second period to post their seventh win of the season. The team finishes its non-conference schedule at 7-0 and will begin their CCAC schedule next week.

The early advantage in the game went to Indiana Tech when they scored in the 11th minute. The Trolls played in that deficit until the 25th minute when Taylor Miller scored when she connected on a low cross from Kaleigh VanElst.  The team took that 1-1 tie into the intermission.

It did not take long for Trinity to take the lead when Miller struck again 11 minutes into the second period. She gathered a deflected ball, took a dribble, and nailed the shot.

The Trolls begin to distance themselves in the 77th minute as Jessica Bianchi got a break away, took the defender, and placed a shot in the far corner of the net. Bianchi was not done and added the final goal in the 86th minute on a give-and-go play with Chloe Smith.

Overall the Trolls had 16 shots for the game and Indiana Tech had 13. Sierra Christopher and Emily Ponstein shared time in the goal with Ponstein recording the win.

The team will begin their conference schedule on September 20 at Cardinal Stritch University.
