NCCAA Honors for Team Members

In conjunction with the National Soccer Coaches Association of American (NSCAA), the NCCAA announced its All-America Teams.  The Trolls were honored with two athletes receiving the award. Senior Kayla Diemer and sophomore Jessica Bianchi were part of the 11-person First Team All-America list.

Forwards Diemer and Bianchi were the scoring leaders for the team this season. The duo accounted for 60 percent of the team’s goals and half of the team’s assists for the year. Diemer scored a total of 16 goals and had 11 assists and Bianchi had 17 goals and seven assists. In the NCCAA, they ranked in the top five in points per game average.

Also receiving recognition was senior Kirstynn Yanik who was selected to the NCCAA National All-Tournament Team.  Yanik, a defender, was a significant part of the team’s strong performance at the national tournament where they finished with a 1-1 record. The Trolls gave up only one goal in their two games and recorded one shut-out.
