Trolls Advance to Conference Tournament

With the completion of the conference schedule, the Trolls finished in the top eight in the CCAC standings and will advance to the CCAC Tournament.  Trinity was 11-9 in conference play and enters the tournament as the No. 6 seed. In the quarterfinal round they will face No. 3 University of St. Francis, who is ranked No. 17 in the nation. That game will take place at 7 pm on Tuesday, February 20, at the Sullivan Center on the campus of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois.

The Trolls (15-15 overall) and the Fighting Saints met twice during the regular season with the Fighting Saints posting victories in both outings. On November 29, Trinity lost 78-66 at St. Francis and on February 7, Trinity lost 71-64 at home.  The quarterfinal tournament game will be streamed with live video at and live stats at

The conference tournament champion, along with Saint Xavier as the regular season champs, earns an automatic bid to the NAIA National Championship on March 7-13 in Sioux City, Iowa.  If Saint Xavier claims the tournament title, the tournament runner-up would earn the second berth.
