Trinity Wins Big at Andrews

The Trolls cruised to a lopsided victory at Andrews University (Berrien Springs, Michigan) in a non-conference game. Trinity held the Cardinals to single digit scoring in three of the four quarters to take control of the game. The team was ahead 53-21 at the half and ended in a 92-35 victory. With the win the Trolls move back to the .500 mark at 6-6 overall.

The game was never in double as the Trolls took control in the first quarter. Trinity scored 26 points in the period and allowed Andrews only 12. It was the only quarter in which the Cardinals were in double-digit scoring as Trinity allowed Andrews fewer points in each successive quarter.

Each member of Trinity’s team logged equal minutes and everyone added to the scoring total. Carissa Wisse led the Trolls with 12 points and seven rebounds. Kara Cunningham had 11 points and Katie Moran finished with 10. Overall the team shot .500 percent from the floor, .481 percent from the arc, and 1.000 percent from the free throw line. Andrews was .319 percent accurate in field goals, .083 percent in three-pointers, and 1.000 percent from the charity stripe. The Trolls dominated the board with 43 rebounds to Andrews’ 23.

The team plays next at home on December 17 against Roosevelt University at 1 pm.
