Trinity Losses on Road

After three straight home wins to start the season, the Trolls suffered a loss on the road at Indiana University-Southeast (New Albany, Indiana). The team trailed by nine points after the first period and gained ground throughout the rest of game only to come up four points shy of the win with an 82-78 final. The team is 3-1 for the season.

Throughout the first half the Trolls forced IU-Southeast to turn the ball over. Trinity took advantage of those miscues, but still trailed 40-34 at the break.

IU-Southeast went ahead by as many as 13 points in the third quarter. Trinity rallied off a 25-10 run to take over the lead 59-57 in the early part of the fourth period. IU-Southeast was able to regain the lead and hold the Trolls off for the win.

Trinity ended the game with a .349 field goal percentage and a .692 free throw percentage. IU-Southeast shot .397 percent from the field and connected on .829 percent (29-or-35) from the line. The Trolls were led by Bethany Jansma with 12 points and five rebounds. Lauren Stokes had 11 points, seven boards, and three assists. Celina Wanta ended with eight points and seven steals and Katie Moran had six assists.

The Trolls play St. Mary-of-the-Woods on November 12 at 12 pm.
