Trinity had opportunities to score when they loaded the bases in the second and again in the fourth, but they failed to bring runners in. In the bottom of the fifth Roosevelt got on base on an error and a double and scored a run on a sacrifice fly to go head by eight runs and end the game.

Trinity ended the game with three hits and Roosevelt had eight. Emili Bell had two of the team’s hits.

The score of the second game was 1-0 in favor of Roosevelt after two innings. The Lakers took over in the third inning with six runs to go ahead 7-0.

The Trolls did not get on the board until the fifth inning. With two outs Jessica Boyd singled to drive in one run to make it 7-1. However in the bottom of the inning with two outs, Roosevelt got on base on a passed ball on a strike-out and then scored on a following triple. The runner on third came across the plate on a wild pitch for the walk-off win.

The Trolls had two hits for the game and the Lakers had eight. Both hits came from Boyd.

The team will host Judson University in conference action on April 17 at home at 3 pm.
