Trolls prepare to take on Cougars

The Trinity men’s soccer team will compete in their first home match since going to Kentucky, where they finished with a record of 1-1.

The Trolls started the road trip against the Asbury University Eagles, and it was an influential game for them. With a goal from senior Gabe Soler and two own goals, Trinity came out on top, winning 3-1.

Following that game, the team went to Georgetown College, where they faced the undefeated Tigers. The Trolls were the first team to not let Georgetown score in the first 10 minutes this season, but eventually, the Tigers were able to score, ultimately winning the match 6-0.

Currently, Soler is the only Trinity player that has points this season.

Tonight, the men’s soccer team will play the University of St. Francis (IN). The Cougars are currently 2-1, losing their only game to No. 4 Madonna. They also faced Siena Heights and CCAC opponent Calumet College of St. Joseph, with both resulting in a win for their program.

Tonight’s match will take place at the Schaaf Athletics Complex beginning at 4 p.m.
