Trinity Loses at Roosevelt

A conference game at Roosevelt University (Chicago, Illinois) resulted in a loss for the Trolls. The team trailed 2-0 at the half. They gave up another three goals in the second half before they got on the board to make it a 5-1 final. With the loss the team is 1-10-1 overall and 0-5-1 in the CCAC.

The first goal of the game for the Lakers came 11 minutes into the game and their second goal was late in the period. The Trolls had six shot for the half, but did not get on the board.

The Trolls lost more ground in the second period when Roosevelt scored in the 64th minute and again in the 70th minute to post a 4-0 lead. On unassisted goal in the 79th minute put the Roosevelt ahead at 5-0. Trinity prevented the shut-out when they scored in the 82nd minute. Justin Taylor put the ball in the left corner on long cross from Fekadu Timmermans.

Trinity ended the game with 12 shots and Roosevelt had 21. Mathis Muller had six saves and Mike McIntyre had one.

The Trolls continue conference play on October 13 at St. Ambrose University.
