Trolls Fall to Robert Morris

In a tightly contested game the Trolls battled in a conference game at Robert Morris University (Chicago, Illinois). The team fell behind 1-0 in the first half. They briefly tied the game in the second period, only to have the Eagles take the lead again to hand the Trolls a 2-1 loss. The team is now 1-7 overall and 0-2 in the CCAC.

The game remained scoreless until midway through the first period when Robert Morris got on the board. It was that 1-0 difference that held at the half.

The Trolls continued to push and in the 62nd minute they got the equalizer when Alejandro Sotelo scored on a free kick from 20 yards out. The momentum the team gained from the goal was quickly squelched when the Eagles came back with a goal a minute later to take the top spot again. In the remaining time the Trolls could not find another goal to fall with the 2-1 final.

Trinity had 12 shots for the game of which five were on-goal. Robert Morris also had five shots on-goal in 14 total attempts. Mathis Muller ended with three saves.

The Trolls play again on September 25 at Judson University at 4 pm.
