Trolls Lose to St. Ambrose

In the final game of the regular season the Trolls hosted St. Ambrose University (Davenport, Iowa).  Each team scored one goal in the first period for the 1-1 half-time score. Midway through the second period St. Ambrose struck again and Trinity did not answer.  The Trolls have completed their season and will not advance to post-season play. They finish with a 3-14-1 overall and 1-10 conference record.

Each team had equal opportunities in the first half and recorded nine shots. Midway through the period St. Ambrose scored to take the lead. However before the half ended the Trolls found the equalizer. In the 42nd minute Tyler Massa put the ball in the back of the net on an assist from Justin Taylor.

The teams played in the 1-1 tie for 27 minutes of the second period.  St. Ambrose changed that in the 72nd minute when they scored to take over the lead. The Trolls continued to attack, but did not find the net again.

Trinity ended the game with 15 shots and St. Ambrose had 13. was in the goal with six saves.
