Trolls Lose at Holy Cross

A conference game at Holy Cross College (Notre Dame, Indiana) was not the answer to get the Trolls back into the win column. The team fell behind 2-0 at the half. Trinity got on the board in the second period, but gave up two more goals for the 4-1 loss. The team falls to 3-10-1 overall and 1-6 in the CCAC.

It was midway through the first period when Holy Cross scored their first goal and took the lead. In the 38th minute they struck again to put the Trolls in a 2-0 deficit at the break.

Holy Cross found the net again in the 59th minute, but the Trolls answered that goal a minute later. The counter for the Trolls was scored by Tyler Massa on an assist by Kris Kirchhoff.  The goal gave the team some momentum, but Holy Cross squelched it 15 minutes later when they added their fourth goal.

For the game Trinity had eight shots and Holy Cross had 20. Mathis Muller was in the goal with seven saves.

The team plays again on October 21 in a home contest with Trinity International University at 2:30 pm.
