Trinity Shut-out by Judson

In a conference game the Trolls hosted Judson University (Elgin, Illinois) at the Schaaf Athletics Complex. Trinity gave up a goal early in the first period and trailed 1-0 at the half. The score remained in that one goal difference until the final minute when Judson scored again to bring the final score to 2-0. With the loss the Trolls move to 3-6-1 overall and 1-2 in the CCAC.

Both teams came out with much energy and determination and battled back and forth. Judson got the early advantage with a goal in the 15th minute of the game. The team played in that 1-0 score through to the intermission.

In the second period the intensity picked up as Trinity tried to tie the score and Judson tried to pull ahead. The Eagles picked up their offensive production with 11 shots in the half, the Trolls continued to deny them another goal.  It was not until there was only 52 seconds left in the game that Judson find the net again.

The Trolls had eight shots for the game and Judson had 17. Mathis Muller recorded a total of 10 saves.

Trinity plays next on September 30 at the University of St. Francis in a 3:30 pm game.
