Trinity Denied at Cardinal Stritch

The conference opener for the Trolls was a tough loss at Cardinal Stritch University (Milwaukee, Wisconsin).  The team gave up two goals in the first period to fall behind. The scoring gap only got wider in the second period as Cardinal Stritch added another four goals to hand the Trolls the 6-0 loss. Trinity is now 2-5-1 for the season and 0-1 in the CCAC.

The first goal of the game for Cardinal Stritch came 13 minute into the game. The Wolves continued to attack and got their second goal in the 35th minute for a 2-0 half-time score.

The game started to get even more lopsided when Cardinal Stritch scored on a penalty kick five minutes into the second period to make it 3-0 game. The next two goals came in rapid succession as Stritch took the 5-0 lead. The final goal of the game was scored in the 85th minute.

For the game Trinity had only four shots while Cardinal Stritch had 25. Rob Oostindie was in the goal with five saves.

The team will play next on September 23 at home against Robert Morris University-Illinois at 2:30 pm.
