Trinity Defeated By Spring Arbor

The Trolls suffered the same result as they did in their previous game as they host Spring Arbor University (Spring Arbor, Michigan), the No. 14 ranked team in the NAIA Preseason Poll.  After 45 minutes of play the score remained 0-0. However the Trolls gave up four goals in the second period to end with the 4-0 loss. The team is now 1-3 for the season.

The Trolls had five shots for the game and four of those came in the first period. Spring Arbor attempted six shots in the first period. The result for both teams was the same as neither team scored.

In the second period Trinity added only one more shot to their total while Spring Arbor had nine shots. The Cougars got on the board in the 55th minute and less than two minutes later scored again to make it 2-0.  Spring Arbor continued to attack and put another goal on the board in the 64th minute. The final counter came in the 74th minute to make it a 4-0 final.

Trinity had five shots for the game and the Cougars had 15. Mathis Muller recorded five saves.

The game was the second game of the day of the Trinity Invitational. In the first game of the day Taylor University and West Virginia University Tech played to a 0-0 tie double overtime tie.

The Trolls are next in action on August 31 at Moody Bible Institute at 4 pm.
