Men’s Soccer Schedule Released

The men’s soccer program heads into their second season under head coach Eric Salley and prepares for their 18-game schedule. The Trolls’ season debut occurs on August 19 at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. That game will be played at Gabriel Richard High School in Riverview, Michigan with a 7 pm EST start. The team appears in front of their home crowd for the first time on August 22 with a 4:30 pm game against Clarke University.

Over the first weekend of school the team is hosting a four-team tournament that brings Spring Arbor University, Taylor University, and West Virginia Tech to the Schaaf Athletics Complex. On Saturday, August 26, Spring Arbor and West Virginia Tech play at 12 pm and the Trolls host Taylor at 5:30 pm. The action continues Monday, August 28, with West Virginia Tech and Taylor at 12 pm and Trinity and Spring Arbor at 3 pm.

The team will continue non-conference action on August 31 at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, on September 9 at Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and on September 15 at home against Viterbo University.

The conference schedule consists of 11 games of which seven are at home. They begin their CCAC play on September 19 at Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Their other road games are at the University of St. Francis, Olivet Nazarene University, and Holy Cross College. Throughout the month of October the team has home double-headers with the women’s team every Saturday. The Trolls conclude their conference schedule on October 28 and the CCAC Tournament runs from November 4-11.
