Trinity Hosts Troll Classic

The Trolls played on their home course at Calumet Country Club in Homewood, Illinois in the Troll Classic. The event featured eight teams and a total of 44 golfers.  After 18 holes, the Trolls finished with a score of 321 and were in sixth place. Trinity also had second team that consisted of four golfers and they posted a team total of 369 for eighth place.

Leading the Trolls was Steven Massey who shot a four-over 75. With the score he finished in a tie for fifth place with three other golfers. He was only three shots out of first place.

The next scorers for the team were all within one stroke of each other. Pete Vos shot an 81 for a 21st place tie. Dan Vos came in with an 82 for a tie for 24th place and Bob Schaaf recorded an 83 for a tie for 27th place.  The final golfer on the team was Jim Vos with an 87 an in 35th place.

For Trinity’s second group of golfers, Nate Kamp was the low person. He finished with an 85 and took 32nd place overall. Mark Schaaf shot a 94 and Joey Davidson and Caleb Driggers each had a 95.

The team will compete again on October 15-16 in the St. Ambrose University Invitational.
