Trolls Take Sixth at Olivet Nazarene Fall Invite

The Trolls competed in the two-day Olivet Nazarene University Fall Tiger Invitational at Kankakee Elks Country Club in St. Anne, Illinois. After the first day of competition the team was in sixth place of the field of 10 teams with a 301 team total. They posted a score of 312 in the second round and maintained their sixth place overall finish.

After the first day 18 holes Pete Vos was in a good position as he shot a 73 and was in a tie for 6th place in a field of 56 golfers. . However he could not back that score up in the second round and, with an 85, he dropped to a tie for 35th place overall.  Steven Massey made a climb on the second day to lead the team. He was in a tie for 17th with a 75 after Friday’s round. He posted the team’s low second round score of 74 and finished in a tie for 11th place.

Jim Vos was the No. 2 golfer for the team with a 75 and a 79. He finished tied for 24th. Dan Vos was consistent each day with scores of 78 for a two-day total of 156 and a 28th place finish.  

Bob Schaaf rounded out the team members and he finished in 50th place with a 170 (89-81). Nate Kamp played as an individual and finished tied for 42nd with a 161.

The team plays next on September 11 in the University of St. Francis Fall Invitational.
