Trolls Struggle at TPC Deere Run

In the final match of their fall season the Trolls participated in the NAIA Fall Preview hosted by St. Ambrose University at TCP Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois. The two-day event featured 24 NAIA school from the Midwest. After the first day of competition the Trolls were in 18th place with a team total of 323. They lost ground after the second 18 holes and ended in 20th place with a team total of 651.

The first 18 holes were not favorable for the majority of the team as they struggled to be in the top half of the field of 120 golfers. The one standout performance came from Pete Vos who shot a two-over 73 and was in a tie for eighth place. He was the top golfer of the CCAC schools in the event. However he could not sustain that performance and followed with an 83 in the second round to drop to an overall finish of a 44th place tie.

Nate Kamp recorded an 84 in the first round and was in a tie for 91st place. He shot the low round for the team on the second day and with a 79 moved up a few places to finish tied for 77th.

Jim Vos and Steven Massey had consistent rounds. Vos posted an 82 each day and finished tied for 82nd and Massey shot a pair of 84s for a 97th place tie. Matt Dail came in tied for 113th with scores of 88 and 89.
