Trinity Ties for Third in Purdue-Northwest Invite

In their final match of the regular season the Trolls played in the Purdue University-Northwest Mike Lalaeff Memorial Invite at White Hawk Country Club in Crown Point, Indiana. The first day of competition was rained out, but seven teams completed 18 holes on day two. The Trolls ended with a team score of 314 and in a tie for third place.

Trinity had two golfers finish in the top ten of the field of 43 competitors. Matt Dail and Steven Massey both shot a four-over 76 to end in a tie for 9th place. Dail scored 11 pars and two birdies for the round. Massey had nine pars and three birdies.

Jonathan Zandstra ended the day with a score of 80 for a tie for 13th place. Two strokes back from him was Alek Svabek with an 82 for an 18th place tie. Jim Vos rounded out the team with an 87 and finished in a tie for 30th.

The team will compete next in the NCCAA National Championships in Panama City Beach, Florida on October 24-26.
