Myles Birgans Joins 1,000 Point Club

Myles Birgans (Bourbonnais, Illinois) ended his three year career at Trinity as a member of the 1,000 Point Club. On February 6, in conference game at the University of St. Francis the senior guard scored 10 points to achieve the scoring milestone.  Birgans is the 33rd player in Trinity’s men’s basketball history to reach the 1,000 point mark.

Birgans, who led the team with a 12.8 point average this season, entered the February 6 contest nine points shy of the point milestone. After a quiet first half with only two points, Birgans scored eight in the second period, including a lay-up with just less than six minutes left in the game that put him over the 1,000 point mark. He ended the game with a total of 1,001 career points.  and ended his career with 1,037 points.

In his first season at Trinity in 2015-16, Myles scored a total of 329 points. The following year he added another 337 to bring his career total to 666. After missing the 2017-18 season at Trinity, he came back this year and topped both of those season totals with 371 points. With a total of 1,037 points he ranks 31st overall on the all-time scoring list at Trinity.
