Trolls Race at NAIA National Championships

Seniors Megan DeWeerd and Hope Fathman were among the cross country runners that competed in the NAIA National Championships on the Seminole Valley Cross Country Course in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Both of Trinity’s runners had good races with DeWeerd finishing in 62nd place and Fathman in 189th place in a field of 341.

It was the second straight national meet appearance for DeWeerd, who led the Trolls all season. She ran her best the year and finished at 18:28.  In her first time at the NAIA meet, Fathman not only recorded her season best, but at 19:24 she logged her career best.

For the year both DeWeerd and Fathman earned CCAC All-Conference honors and NCCAA All-American honors.
