Cross Country Runners Prepare for 2018 Season

The cross country teams of 14 women and 14 men, under the leadership of 15th year head coach Bob Brickman, are preparing for their 2018 season.  The teams will compete in five regular season meets and open on August 31 at the University of St. Francis Fighting Saints Twilight Invite at Channahon Community Park. The men’s race starts at 6 pm and the women follow at 6:30 pm.

On September 7 the teams will compete in a new event as they take part in the Purdue University-Northwest Classic in Westville, Indiana. Also in September on the 28th they will race in the Midwest Intercollegiate Invitational hosted by Olivet Nazarene University at Aspen Ridge Golf Course.

The team has two meets in October as they return to the Bethel College Invitational in South Bend, Indiana, on October 5 and they run at Mount Mercy Seminole Valley Stampede on October 20.

The CCAC Championships will be hosted by St. Ambrose University at Judson University at Crow Creek Park in Bettendorf, Iowa, on Wing Park Golf Course in Elgin, Illinois on November 3.  The NCCAA National Championships are on November 10 in Point Lookout, Missouri, and the NAIA National Championships for qualifiers will be held on November 16 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
