Cross Country Runners Prepare for 2017 Season

The cross country teams of 11 women and 13 men, under the leadership of 14th year head coach Bob Brickman, are preparing for their 2017 season.  The teams will compete in five regular season meets and open on September 1 at the University of St. Francis Fighting Saints Twilight Invite at Channahon Community Park. The men’s race starts at 6 pm and the women follow at 6:30 pm.

On September 15 the teams will compete at the Lake Forest College Forester Invitational. It is the first time back at this venue in 15 years. Also in September they will race in the Midwest Intercollegiate Invitational hosted by Olivet Nazarene University at Aspen Ridge Golf Course.

The team has two meets in October as they will be at Benedictine University Invitational on October 6 and at Mount Mercy Seminole Valley Stampede on October 21.

The CCAC Championships will be hosted by Judson University at Wing Park Golf Course in Elgin, Illinois on November 4.  The NCCAA National Championships are on November 11 in Jackson, Mississippi, and the NAIA National Championships for qualifiers will be held on November 18 in Vancouver, Washington.
