Jake Tholl Named NCCAA Player of the Week

For the week of April 15-20, senior Jake Tholl earned NCCAA Baseball Player of the Week honors. Playing either catcher or designated hitter, Tholl helped the team to a 3-1-1 record in the five conference games of the week.  Overall for the week he posted a .409 batting average and a .909 slugging percentage.  He registered nine hits, including two doubles and three home runs. He also accounted for 13 RBI.

In the second game of a 9-9 tie with Olivet Nazarene University, Tholl got on base four times and was the first to put the team on the scoreboard with a two-run homer in the third inning.  He also sent a ball long to score two runs in a 10-3 win over St. Ambrose University in the opening game of a home double-header. In the second game of that twin-bill Tholl blasted a shot over the left center fence for a three-run walk-off home run in a 22-21 win. In that game he registered a total of eight RBI.
