Trinity Plays in Bethel Pilot Invite

In their second outing of the spring season the Trolls played in a field of 11 teams in the Bethel College Pilot Invitational.  In the two-day event at Blackthorn Golf Club, the golfers played 27 holes in the first day of competition in order to accommodate the weather for the second day. The team was in 10th place after the first round and that is where they ended at the end of the tournament. Overall the Trolls had a two-day total of 826.

Freshman Ashley Martinez led the team and finished in 35th place of the 56 golfers. She shot a 95 in the first round and was tied for 47th place. With a 92 in the second round she moved up in the standings.

The next three golfers for the team were bunched together in 48th, 49th, and 51st place. Sara Blauw posted a 101 and 98. Merina Miner finished with a 103 and 108 and Abby Leo had scores of 108 and 121. The final golfer for the team was Racyne Johnson with a 120 and 121 for 52th place.

The team will compete next on April 20 in the Governors State University Invitational.
