Trolls Finish in Middle of Pack at Troll Classic

It was a beautiful fall day for golf as the Trolls hosted the Troll Classic at Calumet Country Club in Homewood, Illinois. The field for the women included five teams as well as a handful of individual golfers. The Trolls ended the day with a team score of 410 and were third of five teams.

At the end of the 18 holes, the Trolls had two golfers in the top five in the field of 29. Sara Blauw led the team with a 92, scoring a 46 on each the front and back nine. She ended in fourth place overall and was eight strokes back from the leader.  Merina Miner had one more stroke than Blauw to finish with a 93 and in fifth place overall. She had the team’s low score for nine holes with a 45 on the front, and posted a 48 on the back.

Rounding out the other two places in the team scoring were Ashley Martinez with a 109 for 16th place and Racyne Johnson with a 116 for 21st place.

The Trolls will conclude their season on October 5-6 in the Purdue University-Northwest Invitational.
